GRS has reached an agreement with AMP Energy to extend the operation and maintenance of the Hillston and Molong PV plants in Australia until at least 2025. These two projects are included in the important portfolio that the company has in this strategic area, where, to date, it has built 11 PV plants, is working on another two and is responsible for the O&M of a total of 730 MWp.

Hillston and Molong photovoltaic projects were completed two years ago by the GRS construction team and, since then, the O&M team has carried out predictive, preventive and corrective work on them to guarantee energy generation in the best conditions. The two plants, which have a total of 159 MW of capacity, are located in New South Wales, a region with privileged conditions for the implementation of renewables and, specifically, solar energy.
As usual, the O&M team present in each of the plants is composed by local workers, from the plant manager to electrical technicians, specially qualified for these tasks.
Australia, a thriving market
GRS O&M has signed the renewal agreement with AMP Energy in Australia. “It is great news to announce that we will continue to deploy our experience and our know-how in Hillston and Molong at least until 2025. We have been betting for years on the Australian market, not only because we know it perfectly, but also because it offers the best conditions to build our plants and maintain their profitability until the end of their useful life,” says Jesus Aguilar, director of GRS O&M.
Hillston Solar Farm has 120 MW of maximum power and produces 235 GWh/year per year, enough energy to cover the electrical demand of 48,000 homes. Molong Solar Farm, for its part, reaches a capacity of 39 MW of capacity and is designed to produce 78,000 MWh of clean energy per year.
With the renewal of these two contracts, GRS O&M currently manages more than 1,740 MW in photovoltaic plants around the world, with a relevant presence in Spain, South Africa, Mexico and Australia.
